The reduced maintenance requirements of BEVs are a real concern for the automotive Aftermarket and represent a major change for the industry. As a result, we are already developing a range of communication tools to help absorb or mitigate foreseeable shortfalls from the reduced need for BEV repairs and maintenance.
The “X” in the term “Road to X” represents the point from when on there will be more BEV sales than ICE/PHEV sales. From then on it’s getting even more important to tackle the gap of lost revenue due to reduced maintenance requirements of BEVs. From communication side, we support on the one hand through raising overall awareness for Porsche service and thus boosting customer loyalty, and on the other hand stress the importance of crucial maintenance parts of BEV vehicles, such as tyres or the air conditioning.
